Why Zoolk's Malawi pricing is in Kwacha, not converted from dollars

August 11, 2026 · 4 min read

A lot of software sold in Malawi quotes a dollar price and expects you to do the mental conversion. Zoolk doesn't.

Plenty of software you can buy in Malawi is priced in US dollars, with the Kwacha amount left for you to work out — and to re-work out every time the exchange rate moves. Zoolk's Malawi pricing is set directly in Kwacha, so what you see is what you pay, and it doesn't shift with the exchange rate on a day you didn't ask it to.

The pricing itself is built around how many branches you run rather than arbitrary feature gates: Starter for a single location, Growth for up to three branches, and Multi-Branch for larger operations, each with a straightforward per-extra-branch rate if you grow past what's included. Every plan includes the same core POS, inventory, and billing features — you're not missing basic functionality on a cheaper tier.

New accounts start with a 30-day free trial, automatically, with no card required to begin. If you decide it's not for you, nothing is charged and nothing needs to be canceled.

This pricing lives in one place on our backend and is what both the app and this website read from — so the numbers you see when you sign up are the same ones the pricing page shows, not a marketing figure that's quietly different from what you're actually charged.
