Terms of Service

Last updated September 18, 2026

This is a plain-language template describing the terms that govern your use of Zoolk POS. It isn't a substitute for legal advice — if you need this reviewed for your specific circumstances, have it checked by a lawyer licensed in Malawi.

1. Agreement

By creating a Zoolk account or using the Zoolk POS app, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you're signing up for a business, on behalf of that business. If you don't agree, don't use Zoolk.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for what happens under staff accounts you create. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

3. Trial & subscriptions

New accounts get a 30-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires an active subscription, priced in your country's currency where Zoolk accepts local mobile money, and in US dollars elsewhere (see Pricing). Subscription charges are posted to your Zoolk wallet, which you top up with mobile money through pawaPay, or by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal through Paddle. If your wallet balance stays negative past your plan's grace period, your account may be suspended until it's settled — we won't delete your data for non-payment, but access may be restricted.

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for those orders and also handles related customer service inquiries and returns. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Your data

You own the business data you put into Zoolk — your products, sales, customers, and records. We don't claim ownership of it, and we don't sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Zoolk for anything illegal, to defraud customers or payment providers, to attempt to break or bypass the app's security, or to resell access to the product without our agreement.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Zoolk's servers reliably available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service — maintenance, third-party outages, or issues beyond our control can affect availability. Zoolk's offline mode is designed specifically so a dropped connection doesn't stop you from selling.

7. Cancellation & termination

You can stop using Zoolk at any time and request account deletion (see our Account Deletion page). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain unpaid past the grace period, with notice where practical.

8. Liability

Zoolk is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, TechMine isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the product, including loss of profits or data, beyond what's reasonably within our control to prevent.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi, and any dispute arising from them falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Malawi.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect.
